Welcome Message
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite you to attend in the first Asian Forum on Alzheimer’s and Dementia (AFAD), to be held in International Convention Center Jeju (ICC JEJU) on Jeju Island, Republic of Korea, from 22 to 24 November 2018. AFAD is multinational cooperative platform for Alzheimer’s disease and dementia researchers. We hope AFAD to be an active networking hub for initiating cooperative research and sharing ongoing research results and data.

The Asians make up half of all global AD patients. The Asian AD percentage is expected to reach 60% by 2030 with rapidly aging China. The need for AD research specific to Asian population is ever greater. Through AFAD, we look to accelerate the cooperation between different nations in fighting Alzheimer’s disease in Asia.
AFAD 2018 will bring together major Asian Alzheimer’s disease and dementia research groups, as well as government policy makers, and industry leaders. The unique combination of participants will provide comprehensive account of present research directions, endowment policies in different countries, as well as opportunities for multinational cooperative research pertaining to Asian population.

We look forward to your participation in the first AFAD in Jeju Island Nov. 22-24, 2018, and we hope to individually contact you in near future.

Thank you and sincerely yours,
  • Jianping Jia (Capital Medical University)
  • Takeshi Ikeuchi(Niigata University)
  • Kun Ho Lee (National Research Center for Dementia Chosun University)
